How is the Italian tomato production impacting local farmers in Ghana? This is the simple question that Stefano Liberti is trying to answer in this investigation. What resulted from his investigation was a vicious circle that is driving the prices of imported tomato can in the African country so low, that local farmers are obliged to give up their activities and seek for other solution. Some of them will eventually cross the desert and the Mediterranean sea to end up working in the Italian tomato field. To produce the very same tomatoes that are ruining the local farming in their country.
My task was to create a unique package for this investigation, designing logo, a short video animation and data visualisation that will help the user to better understand this complex issue.
